By using our website, you agree to comply with the following terms:
- The content on this website is for your general information only and is subject to change without notice.
- We do not provide a guarantee regarding the accuracy or performance of the information found here. Your use of any materials on this site is entirely at your own risk.
- This website contains material owned by or licensed to us, including design and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice.
2. Ticket Purchases and Refunds
- Ticketing Platforms: While Fatsoma is our primary ticketing agent, tickets for certain events may be sold through other authorised platforms. The specific terms of the chosen platform will apply to your transaction.
- Contract of Sale: The contract for the ticket is between you and the event organiser or The Kings Arms.
- Refunds: All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges unless an event is cancelled or rescheduled.
- Cancellations: If an event is cancelled, you will be entitled to a refund of the face value of the ticket. Booking fees are typically non-refundable.
3. Venue Hire
These terms apply to the hire of the Theatre, Snug, or Quigley Room:
- Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once we have received your deposit and a signed booking form.
- Additional Terms: These points are a summary. A separate, detailed hire agreement containing specific clauses on technical requirements and payment schedules will be provided and must be signed before your event.
- Cancellations: Deposits are generally non-refundable. Cancellations made close to the event date may incur the full hire fee as outlined in your specific contract.
4. Venue Attendance
- Behaviour: We operate a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment or aggression. Anyone displaying such behaviour will be removed without a refund.
- Entry: We operate a "Challenge 25" policy. Please bring a valid passport or driving licence. Management reserves the right to refuse entry if you are intoxicated.
- Latecomers: For theatre performances, latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break to avoid disturbing the performance.
Grade II Listed Status & Accessibility
The Kings Arms is a historic Grade II listed building. Due to this protected status, we are limited in the physical adaptations we can make to the premises:
- The theatre and function rooms are on upper floors and are accessible only by original, steep timber staircases. There is no lift access.
- While the ground floor bar has level entry, some internal doorways remain narrow due to the original architectural layout.
- The building does not have purpose-built accessible toilet facilities.
5. General House Rules
- Dogs: We are dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome in the bar and garden but must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Security: We reserve the right to conduct bag searches. Prohibited items include outside alcohol and illegal substances.
- CCTV: We use CCTV for public safety and crime prevention. By entering, you consent to being filmed.
- Liability: The Kings Arms accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of personal belongings left on the premises.
