5 survivors of domestic abuse tell their stories
‘It makes you feel like you’re making it up when you’re talking because people look at you and think ‘That can’t have happened!’ But it did, because you lived it.’
Following the recent success of American Buffalo and Faith Healer, award-winning director David Thacker teams up again with Lisa Connor, to direct his new play, created from verbatim transcripts of conversations he has had with five survivors of domestic abuse at Fortalice. Fortalice provide frontline services in the community for all victims of domestic abuse including Refuge for women and children.
