The Great American 80s Soap Opera

The Great American 80s Soap Opera
Multi award winning Vertigo Theatre Productions (Porno Chic, Black Ice, Last Dance, Ascension, M, Watching Goldfish Suffocate, Rage, Murder She Writes etc) are back with a brand new original comedy The Great American 80s Soap Opera.
It's the 1980s and the US airwaves are full of daytime and night-time glossy sudsy soap operas, from Dallas to Dynasty, General Hospital to Days of Our Lives. One soap opera has ruled the airwaves for years....Valiant’s Point, however after ratings have tumbled the show is now facing the axe.
Desperate to keep the once campy but heartfelt soap alive the network and writer are going to do anything they can, Cat Fights, Earthquakes, Sex Scandals, Alien Babies, you name it they will try it. However, with soap creator Aaron ripping his hair out at what he sees as the death of his idea and the actors spending more time bitching and fighting, it will be a miracle if they achieve anything.
One things for sure though, this soap opera ain't going down without a fight.

Opening May 3rd – 13rd at The Kings Arms, Salford, 'The Great American 80s Soap Opera' promises to be a night of funny outrageous chaos. Watch the backstage mishaps and fighting as well as scenes from the soap Valiants Points play out before your eyes.
